Village Weaver (Ploceus cucullatus)

A widespread bird in sub-Saharan Africa. It lives in colonies and primarily feeds on seeds, but feeds its chicks with insects. It builds its nests by weaving strips of palm leaves and grass, often creating large nesting colonies where a single tree may hold hundreds of nests.

According to the IUCN Red List, its status is LC (Least Concern).
