Peppered cory catfish (Corydoras paleatus)

A peaceful bottom-dwelling fish native to the shallow, slow-moving waters of South America. Its body is covered with bony plates that provide protection, and it feels best when kept in groups. It is a popular aquarium species, as it helps clean up leftover food while remaining harmless to other tank inhabitants.
