The program runs from mid-March through November 1, every day except Monday. If a holiday falls on a Monday during this period, we will hold the Sunday program on that day.

During the presentations, our visitors can actively observe the animals while our staff give short talks about them and answer any questions that arise. The program is based on a zoo practice known in technical terms as environmental enrichment. During these sessions, we use various enrichment tools to stimulate our animals, ensuring they do not get bored and maintain their physical and mental health. The difference is that now we carry out environmental enrichment right before visitors’ eyes, explaining what they see as we go. We hope that these experiences will spark our visitors’ interest in these endangered animals, making them more receptive to learning about them.

The programs take place every day except Monday from mid-March through the last day of October, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. In case of bad weather, such as heavy rain, the program may be canceled. Of course, viewing is free, and it’s worth planning your zoo visit so you can participate in as many of these programs as possible. We promise it’s worth it!

The program is on hiatus from November 2 through mid-March. You can still watch the seal training sessions during this time, on weekdays at 10:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., and on weekends, holidays, and public holidays at 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
